Cancellation Policy
Reservations cancelled 120 Days or more prior to check-in will receive a 100% refund of all amounts paid less a 5% administration fee
Reservations cancelled less than 120 days prior to check-in will not receive a refund
How Do I get From Belize City to Villa Tipsy Gecko
From Belize City there are three ways to get to Placencia:
1) A small plane (Tropic Air or Maya Island air) about $250 per person round trip. They run about every 60 to 90 minutes and it is a 30 minute flight. We have free shuttle service to and from Placencia air strip . Between the flight time, drive to the house and normal time waiting for the next scheduled departure it is normally about 1 ½ hours transit time. We provide complimentary pickup and drop-off from Placenica air stip on the day your main group checks-in and checks-out.
2) Rent a vehicle. About a 3 hour 15 minute drive. Easy drive but we only recommend doing this during sunlight hours. The road narrows to one lane in some places and there are no street lights. It is also nice to have a vehicle available in Placencia area. We do provide a 6 person golf cart for your use. We drive all the time in Placencia area at night, but the 3 hour and 15 airport trip is best done during the daylight.
3) Shuttle Van's. Also about a 3 hour 15 minute drive, but there are shuttle companies who will pick you up in Belize City and bring you to the house, and bring you back at the end. For a group of 8 people the cost would be approximately $400 to $500 each way.
