The Villa Tipsy Gecko had something for everyone. The 9 persons in our group ranged in age from 16-83. With on-site kayaks, paddle boards, swimming pool, hammocks, lounge chairs, and tiki huts, there was something for everyone. Perhaps the best amenity was the Chef. He prepared the best food that we ate during our visit to the Placencia area. Whether you want to just linger in this beautiful setting or use it as a jumping off point to various excursions, this villa is for you. I know it was for us.

Group of 8 - Myself and my husband, our 3 grown kids, and 2 grandkids - stayed for 8 days. The communication from the owner was top notch leading up to our trip. Questions answered, directions provided, and advice given all first rate. The house is exactly as presented, so no surprises there. It worked perfectly for our group. The pool and the beach were fantastic! Having the golf cart available was a great way to motor around the peninsula to check things out - much more fun than the rental van we had. The real gem of this house was the staff. Manuel was our chef for 4 days of our stay, and the food he prepared for us was off the charts - he truly spoiled us rotten. Sonja took care of all of our housekeeping needs daily, even doing some laundry for us! The icemaker in the kitchen stopped working and Javier got the repair folks in pronto to get it up and working again. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Tipsy Gecko to anyone looking to spend some time in Belize.

Very difficult to put into words… beautiful well kept property. It’s all that’s described and more. The crew was exceptionally good and friendly. The chef cooked some delicious meals for us… this place is a must visit again!!

Villa Tipsy Gecko was an incredible house and exceeded our expectations. We were there the end of September 2023, during slow season, but there was still quite a bit to do. The golf cart was amazing to have as we went into the village almost everyday. You trying can’t beat the views and location of this house. We felt extremely safe. The house staff was also incredible. Mabel went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. We highly would recommend this house especially if you are traveling with a large group. We will be back!

What an amazing stay and opportunity. The hostess was responsive and kind. the place was stunning and a joy to be in. we are so lucky to get to stay at the Tipsy gecko!

Awesome property in a great location - 30 minutes from Placencia. The staff was great and the entire team was very responsive. Easy to get around the peninsula and didn't have to go too far for restaurants, etc. Highly recommended - the property has everything you need for a family getaway.

Great staff. Friendly, responsive, met every request with a smile. Laundry service was special. You could tell the host took pride in the house and landscaping. Beds were comfortable. A+ recommendation.

This house surpassed our expectations. We appreciated each person who cooked, cleaned and kept our area spotless, especially Sonia and Domingo. We took advantage of the SUPs and kayaks as well as our pool and the pier. Very comfortable and a lovely place to stay in the Placencia area.
